Solo exhibition of installation Public Matter, Botkyrka Konsthall, 2013, Fittja, Botkyrka, Sweden.
Public Matter is a work by Anna Ådahl that presents objects from Fittja´s public spaces, object whose appearance and shape have been altered by the regular and repetitive use of people. Their patina reveals the patterns of movement in everyday life: in the playground, waiting for the bus or entering a store. The objects have been taken out of their original context, referring to Minimalism or the Ready Mades of the Arte Povera, where the people and visitors in Fittja together have altered the objects and thereby created their new forms and identities.
